Poetry Bug: Thanks. When you break a line of poetry down into its metrical feet, it is called scansion.
Poetry Bug: Usually a small line (like this: ` ) is used to show a stressed syllable, and the curved line (like the mark above the following "s": š ) is used to show an unstressed syllable.
